This was such a well told story with an amazing cast. I'm not just saying Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt, even though they were quite amazing as well. But Madeline Stowe, David Morse, Christopher Plummer and everyone else involved in this movie put out a great effort. And of course, Brad Pitt always brings so much energy to his performances that he is such a scene stealer. Bruce Willis also brought a great intensity and showed that he is quite a skilled actor that doesn't have to spout catch phrases and one liners. This is a very well detailed story though in which you have to pay attention, because you can easily get lost in this. Lots of little details in which I'm still finding almost thirteen years later and I've seen this many times. Terry Gilliam did a great job with his direction and really plays with the viewers head as he does with Bruce Willis' character. Between him and Bruce, you really feel the pain and the heartbreak that Willis goes through in this movie. Gilliam and the cast really bring a thought provoking story out to the forefront and is well worth investing the time in. Watch it with friends like I did years ago, and maybe you will have a stimulating conversation like I did with my friends as we all really got into this movie.
