This was a very disturbing mini movie in the Masters of Horror series.  Probably the most disturbing.  The movie is set in the 1800's and has a very gothic feel to it.  The first half hour, you are not sure where the story is going and it makes you wonder if maybe Haeckel fins his way to raise the dead, but the last twenty minutes really gives you a good feeling of horror and creepiness as you really see what is going on.  And it is disturbing.  The actors done a very good job in the roles they were giving.  The story, quite disturbing, was written by Clive Barker, the man who wrote Hellraiser and Candyman.  The gore was there for fans fo movies with lots of gore.  Especially zombie munching.  Be forewarned though, that if you do watch this, it is very disturbing. I can't say that enough.
