Matt Dillon disapeared for quite awhile before 1998.  I shouldn't say he disappeared, but he wasn't in anything really worth mentioning and kind of out of the public eye.  But he really came back with a bang in 1998 with There's Something About Mary and Wild Things.  It was good seeing Matt Dillon in movies after not seeing him for several years.  The movie grabbed me right off the bat, when you see what transpires between Matt Dillon and Denise Richards and then Dillon's character accused of being raped by a student.  We see the nightmare that his life is made into, because we get the feeling that Dillon's character is innocent.  But that is when the twists start.  Twist after shocking twist after shocking twist.  It starts to wear a person down a bit.  Don't get me wrong, I thought the twists were well done, but their usage was overdone.  The cast really breathed life into these characters and for the short time Bill Murray was in this movie, he would really steal the show.  Quite a twisted movie that is cruel to the viewer, but it does keep your interest for the most part.
