On board a flight over the Pacific Ocean, an assassin, bent on killing a passenger who's a witness in protective custody, lets loose a crate full of deadly snakes.
Rating:9/10 When I seen the title for this movie, I had to let out a little groan. You gotta be kidding me right. Then I seen who starred in it. The King of Cool himself, Samuel L. Jackson. Then I seen some previews. This looked good. And I couldn't wait. It looked fun. I will tell you right upfront. Do not take this movie seriously. This is a popcorn movie at its best. The thing is, if I were to have seen this in any other situation, or if it took itself to seriously, I would hate it. The setup story is pretty flimsy. Some of the acting is really bad. And it seemed to take awhile to set up the characters that were boarding the plane. And there were a lot of characters to get through, which, when you think about it, was pretty good. I suppose I should stop and tell you my reactions very quickly though. I hate snakes. I am actually scared of snakes. I hate heights, therefore I'm afraid of heights. What a combination. As soon as I seen a snake, I started squirming. And they weren't even let loose yet. It was kind of ingenius the way they explained what made the snakes so aggressive. As soon as the snakes were let loose. I was on the edge of my seat. And squirm. Did I ever! Just seeing the snakes made me very uncomfortable. It was so fast paced after that part. I could not take my eyes off the screen. What was also great was that there were some really good lines in this movie, especially from Jackson and the co-pilot of the plane. I was thinking that the co-pilot actually was a scene stealer with how funny he was. Some of the ways the snakes were killing peeople were kind of funny. Here is a quick spoiler. A man was taking a leak and a snake popped out of the toilet. Where do you think it went? Yep, you got it. This reminded me of another great cheesy movie from this sumer and that was Slither. It wasn't as good as Slither, but it had all the elements that made it worth watching. If you get a chance, watch this. This is way better than most of the other so called scary snake movies. Just don't take it too seriously.
