Rating:5/10 I heard so many bad things about this film, that I was very reluctant to watch this. When I heard Renny Harlin was the director, I wasn't so sure. When Renny Harlin directs a movie, it is usually hit or miss, more misses than hits, but sometimes he does hit it head on. Well it was better than I thought it was going to be, but that isn't saying too much. The opening sequence actually started off well, especially the police chase in the begining. I thought that was pretty well. But after that it kind of goes downhill and very predictable. The potential this movie had ws pretty good. But the execution of this movie really failed to live up to the potential this had. I was just looking at the poster for this and this thought just hit me. This movie was named The Covenant. There were four guys in the group, with an enemy that was more powerful than the four put together, or so what was mentioned in the movie at the hospital. But we didn't see much of a battle scene with the enemy and the kid on the motor cycle, and the other two were really a non factor. It was pretty much a one on one battle and that was really it. I would've like to have seen the four battle together dealing with someone more powerful. Sure, sure, not an original thought, but was there anything original about this movie or even the idea. The one cool effect that was brought in occasionally for the movie was the darkling. That ws kind of cool looking. Some of the effects were kind of cool looking, but they were kind of pointless. The acting could've been better, but then most of these people are pretty new and with more work, they could become pretty good. Don't expect anything greatr with this and you won't be disappointed.
