Dreamcatcher seems to be a mixture of different movies such as The Thing, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and to an extent It.  The first part of Dreamcatcher is really worth watching.  The scenes involving the boys meeting Duddits was actually kind of heart warming, as was most scenes involving Duddits, as a bo9y and a man.  At tinmes the movie was darkly funny and a bit on the disgusting side.  Especially when Jason Lee is battling the alien on the toilet.  Believe it or not, that had a lot of tension to it.  The second part of the movie becomes a silly mess.  It looks good, but it is boring and at times very stupid.  This is probably the first movie in which I didn't care for Morgan Freeman.  I didn't think he did that great of a job.  Kudos goes to Donnie Wahlberg and the kid, I can't remember his name, as they both did a great job playing Duddits.  Jason Lee and Timothy Olyphant also did a good job here.  This is actually a borefest with some good scenes and some acting for a sci fi movie, but it is checking out if you there is nothing else you want to watch.
