The weakest of the series so far.  You could tell that the low budget came into play on this one as well, because even though this movie dispalyed brutality, the movie looked very cheap.  Even with the riot at the end, it didn't seem to come off right.  The other problem this movie had was for an 88 minute movie, it sure was boring.  I just had a hard time really getting into this.  Ricardo Montalban reprises his role and Roddy McDowell is brought back as the rolke of Ceasar.  both do an outstanding job in their roles.  This is the darker natured of all the Planet of the Ape movies I have seen so far, but the one thing we didn't get was any twists or any suprises.  This movie is really just for the hardcore fans of Planet of the Apes or if you just want to see how things come about in the series than it is worth checking out.  If you are just a casual movie fan, you are going to be highly dissapoointed with this and you might as well just stop with Escape From the Planet of the Apes.
