The one thing that really makes this movie work is the CGI robots.  These were robots were so amazingly realistic that it was hard to tell that CGI was actually used.  Watching them transform from Cars to robots and vice versa was a childhood dream.  Watching them fight each other was also amazing, but at times was also the weakness of the movie.  Sometimes the action sequences were so blurry that it was hard to see who was fighting and to keep track fo the characters.  The cast wasn't so bad either.  Most of the cast had some pretty funny lines.  What I thought was the funniest scene in the movie is when Sam is with his parents in his bedroom and they are asking him what he is doing in his bedroom with the door locked.  Hilarious, but more adultish humor.  I was expecting this movie to get corny or stupid several times, but that didn't happen.  This movie worked out so well that I'm glad I seen it on the big screen and didn't wait for it to come out on video.  I think it would have felt like a different movie.
