I watched this movie with very low expectations and this was better than I thought. Not sayig that I particularly cared for this movie, but it was better than I thought, once again. Now if you like the cheesy eighties "B" horror flicks, than this movie is for you. I thought that this movie had some promise to it. It had a kind of killer I have never seen before in the horror genre. A lucha libre style pro wrestler, played by none other than Rey Misterio Sr.(the uncle of Rey Mysterio). Like I said, this was a movie that had some potential. The script needed to be tightened up a bit and get some better actors and you have yourself a decent little horror gem. But the acting was quite bad. And one of the male leads was just swearing so gratuitiously that it felt like it was just tacked on. The different theories that they had for the insane wrestler that was in the script were decent, but the only way to stop the wrestler was very lame. Very lame and should have been easier for our characters. Jeremy Radin would have been great if he had different lines altogether as he just came across as kind of a dork. I tried getting into his character and he just tried to hard to make the lines work that he had. The drunken and pased out girl was very painful to watch. And the most painful scene to watch was when the insane wrestler breaks into the room in which Jeremy Radin's character locked himself in with one of the female leads. The shot then goes outside of the door and for at least a minute or two as the camera starts slowly inching its way towards the door, you hear the fighting of Misterio and Radin, with Radin screaming and one of the female leads screaming shortly after that. She starts to slowly crawl away when Misterio captures her by the ankle and pulls her back in. And then it is like nothing happened as it seems to start all over again witrh the fighting between the female character and then the big fight with Jeremy Radin's character. But there were some things I did like about this movie though. I did like the storyline for this movie. It played out pretty well. You just needed a better cast and tight script and this would have been one of those underrated gems. I also really liked the ending, even though it felt very predictable, it was the right ending I felt and that can break or make a movie. See High Tension and you will know what I mean. One of the worst endings ever on a very promising horror movie. Aaahhh, but I digress. Like I said before, if you are a fan of the chessy eighties horror movies, than this movie is right up your alley, other wise if that is not your thing, you are just not going to get this movie and you are not going to like it as well.
