Another decent collaboration between Kurt Russell and John Carpenter.  Kurt Russell reminds me of Clint Eastwood when he takes the Snake Plissken role.  John Carpenter uses a great deal of tension and mood to make this movie go.  The movie moves at a quick pace, so that it doesn't get boring.  There is a constant feeling of a race against time.  This isn't the greatest action movie in the world.  There is enough conflict and tension to keep interest here.  A pretty decent futuristic movie.
