A quiet seaside town is engulfed by a thick fog precisely one century after a boat sunk just off the coast under mysterious circumstances.
Rating:1/10 One of the most pointless remakes I have ever seen. The problem with horror movies nmowadays, is that some studio moron thinks it is a good idea to greenlight a classic horror movie. Usually, the script is very bad. The stars are some young television stars, who are so miscast for the roles they are playing. This was no exception. There are so many things with this movie that it is so hard too list and where to begin. Let's start with the acting. Several up and coming actors and actresses who were allmiscast for the roles they were playing. I wouldn't have brought any of them to play any of these roles. They were all wrong, especially Tom Welling. Is it me or doesn't he just seem to have no confidence with this role? What made the earlier version of The Fog successful, was the atmosphere. The atmosphere is very poor at best. There were a couple of good shots that really if done right, could've made this a little better and a little freakier, but nope. I think until Hollywood can come up with an original story, bring in actors who aren't getting in over their heads with a movie role, create good characters that you can sink your teeth into, and quit trying to modernize everything, they should quit making movies. Obviously they wanna blame people pirating movies for the low box office turnout. Well maybe they should take responsibility for the crap that is being manufactured and quit trying to rip off the public. Good God, everything is expensive enough as it is. The original version of The Fog wasn't the best movie in the world, but with the technology today, this could've been a good improvement. But alas, hack writers and directors ruined it. DON'T SEE IT!
