Rating:8/10 Back to school was the perfect movie for Rodney Dangerfield. Rodney's one liners and his smartass remarks are way too hilarious. Rondey Dangerfield has shown everyone that his transition from stand up comic to movie actor was no fluke with hilarious parts in Caddyshack and Easy Money. This movie is the one that cemented Dangerfield's rising star power. This movie is funny from start to finish as it starts off with him as a young child struggling in school. The kid who played him at the begining was hilarious as he adopted Dangerfields traits as his own. The movie flows pretty well as Dangerfield has a pretty strong supporting cast to help him get through it. I'm not a fan of Keith Gordon and I'm not really a fan of his in this, but he was adequate. But Robert Downey Jr. and Burt Young were hilarious. Downey was over the top, while Young was a bit more subtle, but still effective. Sam Kinison was great. This also was just a very small taste of this man as well as that was how he was like in his stand up routine. Very funny stuff between Kinison and Dangerfield. Sally Kellerman was also very fun to watch as she was trying to adapt(quite well) to Dangerfield's character. Also great chemistry between Dangerfield and Paxton Whitehead. Those two played off each other so well. The diving finale was hysterical and a perfect way to finish off this great movie. If you are ever interested in seeing anything Rodney Dangerfield, this is the movie.
