A small village off the mainland is about to receive a huge winter storm. It won't be just another storm for them. A strange visitor named Andre Linoge comes to the small village and gives the residents havoc. He knows everything about them, and when he tells the truth about one of them, that person denies it. The town constable, Mike Anderson, tries to keep everyone in check with the huge storm and Linoge. Linoge keeps telling the people, "Give me what I want and I will go away"...
Rating:9/10 I found Storm of the Century to be a highly enjoyable movie from the mind of Stephen King. Storm of the Century has some very frightening scenes and ideas, but where the strength of this film lies is the mystery of the movie. Who is Andre Linoge? Why is he there? What does he want? This film plays out beautifully as well as playing out very creepily(if that is a word). Even though this movie is over four hours long, it does not drag at all. It keeps going at a good clip. Timothy Daly, Colm Feore and Jeffrey DeMunn all did an amazing job with their characters. This is a very original story that had me guessing right up until the end. And I was shocked at the ending as well. It was so unpredictable that I was shocked with all the developments that occured as well. If you are looking for a creepy and unpredictable movie withlots of tension, Storm of the Century is for you.
