When you look at the case in this movie, you see pictures of Morgan Fairchild, Micheal York and Frank Stallone. The person that should have been on the cover was Armin Muller-Stahl. Stahl actually does a pretty decent job as the main character, whor brings a lot of little quirks and a sense of humor to the character. He is not a caricature or a steroetypical police investigator. The rest of the cast was alright. But Stahl had more chemistry with Julia Kent than he did with Morgan Fairchild. But the movie opens up and even though it is predictable as to what happens, what happes to one of the minor characters was not what I expected. But the movie starts to slowly go down hill and to that, it goes to the director and the script. Meither were really that good. The movie just started to go slower and slower and slower until the climax which had no tension whatsoever. If it wasn't for Stahl's performance, this movie would have been a lame duck turkey. But he was a bit captivating on screen and I'm going to see if I can find some more of his movies.
