Rating:9/10 If there is one word that can really describe this movie, it is intensity. And in between the moments where there was no intensity, there was a feeling of dread. What really helped with the intensity was the music involved. I know I never give the soundtrack too much credit as sometimes it feels very detrimental to me in movies, but it really worked well for this movie here. When I first heard that this movie was going to be remade, I was not looking forward to it. As a matter of fact I broke a rule that I had made when it comes to horror movies. I always go see horror movies when they come to town. This was the one exception that I made for that. I did not want to see this. I did not want to be dissapointed. This movie grabbed me right away and it held my interest. The opening scenes when the lead actress is running from a coupole fo zombies in her own house to her car was just major lague intense. From that moment on, my eyes would never leave the screen. The one scene I did not like was the child birth scene. The gore that the scene had didn't bother me, but just the child birthing scene itself did. The characters were nothing special. They were all stereotypical characters amd you kind of knew what was going to happen to them at the time except for the character of CJ. His character suprised me. Zac Snyder(director of 300) did an amazing job remaking this movie and did George Romero proud from what I understand. This movie does have a bizarre creepiness that even the most jaded of horror fans like me could feel. There is even a couple of moments of humor that caught me off guard. If you feel the movie leaves you with an unsatisfied feeling, then watch this movie all the way through the credits and you will see what really happens after.
