This was a Tarzan movie that had a lot of potential. Don't get me wrong, this was still a good movie, but this had the potential for being one of the best Tarzan movies of all time. The problem was that the movie had to be cut up because of the giant vampire bat. During that time, it was considered way to scary for a Tarzan movie so there had to be several cuts and several reshoots, which kind oif tore this movie up. Like I said, don't get me wrong, this was still a good movie. It just could have been better. Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan were really on the top of their game as Tarzan and Jane. The rest of the cast were pretty good as well, with Herbert Mundin stealing the show as the comedic relief character of Rawlins. Cheetah was also used as comic relief, but was it me or was Cheetah really more malicious and jealous of Tarzan? Cheetah wasn't as likable as I remember him to be. Cheetah seemed more mean spirited. Still, this is a good entry into the Tarzan saga, but it just could have been better.
