In the fascist Spain of 1944, the bookish young stepdaughter of a sadistic army officer escapes into an eerie but captivating fantasy world.
Rating:7/10 As far as visuals go, Pan's Labyrinth is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. While the movie was playing, my cousins and I were watching this oohing and aahing over the special effects and the brutality of the scenes involved. Sometimes the scenes were so brutal and the brutality of the Captain would make me cringe at times. The cast that was involved in this movie was so good that they kept my interest in this movie. The story was pretty good as well. As you I was drawn in with the visuals and the brutality of this film, the story also kept me going as well. The one thing that really disappointed me about this movie and it is kind of a big thing was the ending. I thought this could've ended alot better and gave me a better conclusion than what was left. It was kind of unpredictable as I wasn't expecting what happened to happen, but I thought this would've been better.
