Picking up where the original Nightmare left off, Nancy has grown up and become a psychiatrist specializing in dream therapy. She meets a group of children at a local hospital facing Freddy Krueger, the same demon she once encountered in her sleep. One of them is Kristen, who has the power to draw other people into her dreams. Working with a male doctor assigned to the case, Nancy helps the kids realize their special abilities within the nightmare world. When Freddy captures one of her charges, she leads a rescue attempt into Krueger's domain, in hopes of putting his spirit to rest once and for all.
Rating:8/10 The Dream Warriors is one of the better sequels in horror movie history. Not just in the Nightmare series, in all of horror. Freddy is still a scary figure, but now, he spouts off his one liners that made him more famous. This is avery fun movie to watch. It is a bit predictable though, but that doesn't really matter. There is quite a good chemistry between the cast members, and it shows. The acting was overall better. With this movie, you can actually skip watching part in the series, because it happens a couple of years with a couple of the same cast members from the first. The deaths are a little more elaborate and cooler looking as well as very memorable. And while Freddy is killing the kids in this movie, he spouts of one liners like a super hero. A pretty good rent if you get the chance.
