When a sheriff arrests a writer, a family, a couple, and a hitchiker and throws them in a jail cell in the deserted town of Desperation, they must fight for their lives.
Rating:4/10 Desperation wasn't too badly written, but acted, that was a different story. Stephen King did a great job adapting his own book to the movie. If you read the book, you can imagine the way the jail cell was, and in the movie, that is the way it was. The animal sequences were amazing. Watching all those dogs lined up on the highway was kind of creepy to see. Ron Perlman and steven Weber did a great job with their characters, while the rest of the of the main cast came across kind of lazy. It looked like they weren't putting in any effort. Another really cool scene was the Chinese flashback scene which came off kind of creepy as well. I also liked the religious connotations made in the movie, especially with some people being sensitive whinebags. I just thought that with the acting, it didn't come across too well except for the two mentioned above.
