The Man From Utah
1934 Starring John Wayne, Polly Ann Young, Gabby Hayes, Yakima Canutt Not Rated 52 Minutes
The Marshal sends John Weston to a rodeo to see if he can find out who is killing the rodeo riders who are about to win the prize money. Barton has organized the rodeo and plans to leave with all the prize money put up by the townspeople. When it appears that Weston will beat Barton's rider, he has his men prepare the same fate for him that befell the other riders.
Rating:1/10 When you see a movie start off with John Wayne playing a guitar and lip syncing a horrible ballad badly, you know you are not going to be in for a treat. When a bank robbery starts right after the ballad, it looked like John Wayne didn't even put an effort into firing his gun. I've seen little kids do a better job of acting with a pistol playing cowboys. Actually, this is the only time I thought that John Wayne's acting was very putrid. He put no effort into this at all and looked like a big dummy just smiling the whole time. It was horrible. Even though the movie had a story, ti seemed only to show rodeo stunts and horse chases. Quite boring. One of John Wayne's worst movies that I've ever seen so far.
