After escaping from an asylum the mad Dr. Niemann and his hunch back assistant revive Count Dracula, the Wolf Man and the Frankenstein monster in order to extract revenge upon their many enemies.
Rating:8/10 The House of Frankenstein was a decent movie that had five horror monsters. Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Wolf Man, the mad scientist and the hunchback. Dracula was only in the first half of the movie while the Wolf Man and Frankenstein's monster was in the second half. Karloff was excellent as the mad scientist and the movie was centered around him. Lon Chaney is always great as the Wolf Man. The rest of the cast was superb. The movie was at a fast pace with a good story to keep people involved. Naish as the hunchback also gave a great sympathy for his character and did such a great job that people could almost relate to him. A very good job as Universal released a great movie featuring its horror icons of the times.
