This movie claims to be old school American horror. In many ways, the people who made this movie are correct. This movie reminded me of the eighties horror movies. The kills were kind of fun to watch and were very violent. There was plenty of nudity to go around in the begining. There were moments of comedy. And it had it share of gore as well. Not just blood, but vomiting and the villian was not to attractive. The villian is an unkillable killing machine. He shows up magically when you think the people got away and more and more eighties horror cliches to go around. I think back to Behind the Mask:The Rise of Leslie Vernon and see how to deconstruct this movie. I'm not really sure if I can watch another slasher movie after watching that one. The cast was decent and Deon Richmond and Richard Reihle really are scene stealers with the comedy that they brought to the table. Otherwise, this was a by the numbers movie that wasn't unwatchable, but it really doesn't offer anything we haven't seen before. Worth renting though.
