There was not a whole lot too like about Moon Stalker. This was basically a rip off of the Friday the 13th series. I don't mean, d'uh, slasher film, d'uh! No, I mean such as the reason Jason came out and started killing camp counselors. This is basically the same thing, just worse. But there is some setting up to do. It starts of with the killer taking care of some kids in the woods, then it goes to a family in the woods on their eway to Los Angeles, where the meet an old man who seems to be a hermit who talks about his son alot. Well, the old man let's his son loose and his son takes care of the family. Then the son goes to a camp for camp counselors. And he goes after all these people for the same reason that Jason Voorhees went after people. Sorry, I know there isn't a lot of originality in slasher movies, but there should be a little something. This movie borrows from Friday the 13th, The Burning and the Halloween movies. Even the music sounded up like a speeded up heavy metal version of the music from Haloween. This was kind of an insult to slahser fans. Now, let's go to the acting. That was kind of a long rant about originality, but it had to be said. The acting was about as good as the originality this film had. Yep, it stunk. There was not a whole lot of effort put forth even here. Annoying. This movie did have a plus sign though. Towards the end, predictability of this movie flew out the window though as I kept getting surprised by who was actually getting killed in this. So, it does go up a rating point. That was the only thing saving this mess. Don't waste you 98 cents on this thing. It really isn't worth it. Let's put it this way. you get what you pay for, but occasionally you can find a gem. But this wasn't a gem. This was a turd.
