Cheech and Chong's The Corsican Brothers
1984 Starring Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong, Roy Dotrice, Shelby Chong, Rikki Marin, Edie McClurg, Rae Dawn Chong Rated PG 82 Minutes
Two brothers who can feel each others' pain and pleasure mess up the French revolution.
Rating:6/10 Very different than the usual Cheech and Chong fare, some fo the jokes work, while some fall flat. The duo decided to tone down their humor to find some mainstream acceptance. Some of the jokes were very funny. Some of the jokes were so flat that I just shook my head. The thing that really made this weird for me, was the straightness and bizarre intensity that Tommy Chong brought to the film. The acting wasn't anything great. The evil Fuckaire was pretty funny. The "sword" fight with the two brothers stabbing themselves to hurt the other was pretty funny as well. I also got a kick out of watching the two grow up from babies to puberty. That was pretty funny. This was more for the hardcore Cheech and Chong fans, even though it was kind of funny.
