The Nativity Story
2006 Starring Keisha Castle-Hughes, Oscar Isaac, Hiam Abbass, Shaun Taub Rated PG 101 Minutes
A drama that focuses on the period in Mary and Joseph's life where they journeyed to Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus.
Rating:9/10 A rare treat for Christians and families alike. Most Christian movies made now are compromised, romanticized and revised to make a quick dollar off of the people who are Christians and give them very little for their dollar. But this movie was so well done and the subject material was treated with respect. The acting was so well done, that you could feel the emotions with the people that were on screen. Even the wise men with their little bit of comic relief that they provided in this movie was well done and not insulting to anyone. This movie is a very faithful rendition of the Bible, and it is very enjoyable. It was also given a certain depth that kept me drawn into it. A very excellent family film for Christmas which will have many Christian messages and show the true meaning of Christmas. I enjoyed this movie and am not ashamed to admit it.
