This movie had one of the best opening scenes that I have ever watched. It was so intense that I was just on the edge of my seat as I was watching this. It had a very claustrophobic feel to it. The music also added to the mood of the movie as well, especially in the begining. It does slow down and then goes on with the story, which is kind of weak, especially with the two kids going back to their original home and finding their mother, who was a carrier of the virus but not infected. But eventually she does infect someone and then the horror begins and it goes back to the claustrophobic feel again, but it just didn't have the adrenaline rush that the opening sequence had. Still the last forty five minutes of the movie was pretty decent though. The one thing that I was highly irritated with was the shaky cam. It was so overused and the point of view was annoying to watch, especially when Scarlet was getting her face smashed with her own gun. Overall this is worth the rental fee though if you are a fan of the zombie genre.
