Rating:3/10 Black Brigade was a television movie written by Aaron Spelling. This movie had quite a decent cast with some excellent and known supporting actors such as Billy Dee Williams, Roosevelt Grier and Richard Pryor. I was expecting something that was alright. I wasn't expecting cinema greatness. But I didn't think it was going to be this bad though. Iy was very cheaply done and you could tell. The acting was not very good. And for a WWII movie, there wasn't much action in it, even towards the end. This was pretty much a by the numbers kind of movie, which you almost knew what was going to happen. This movie though was more of a political statement for its time, and I don't have a problem with that. This was something though that could've been more powerful and more touching if there was more time devoted to the characters. and there wasn't. Richard Pryor in a serious role as a cowardly man, who then comes back when his platoon needs him. Also too predictable. If you want to watch a movie about racism within war, watch Glory. Glory had the same message with the same conditions for black men during the war and was many many times more entertaining and touching.
