An aging Pat Garrett is hired as a lawman on behalf of a group of wealthy New Mexico cattle barons--his sole purpose being to bring down his old friend Billy the Kid.
Rating:6/10 Unlike most people who watch westerns, I'm not that big of a fan of Sam Peckinpah's movies. I find them to be a bit boring and having the wrong cast members in its places. One thing about this movie, like Peckinpah's other westerns, this one is violent. It is just a bit boring in between the violence that goes on. The camera work was pretty good. The scenery was beautiful and haunting at the same time. There were also some great laugh out loud lines in this one. "Jeez Pat, you made me have a bowel movement in my britches!" I'm laughing now as I am typing this, thinking on how the man who said this line played it out. The acting was pretty well done as the most of the cast members were right for their roles. I didn't care much for Bob Dylan in his role though. Not a bad western, but not one of the best. There were others that were much better.
