Rating:8/10 I was trying to avoid this movie for the longest time. I mean, I liked the idea for this film. It was very original, at the very least. Had some quality actors such as Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey tambor and Clare Forlani. But a three hour movie? I wasn't so sure. So I forced myself to watch this. I was not disappointed at all. There is a great chemsitry between Pitt and Hopkins, especially in the comedic moments of this film. And Jeffrey Tambor makes itr so easy looking. If you would think that the three hour length of this movie would be a problem, well guess what. It isn't. Time really flew. It didn't feel like I was watching a three hour movie. Well, the last ten minutes of the movie should have been cut out. That kind of dragged a bit, but otherwise this was a well paced movie. The one thing that just keeps glaring at me though, was Brad Pitt's performance. I loved how he could be cold one minute and very innocent the next. Almost like a child. I loved how he finally got to try peanut butter for the first time. I also loved the scenes where he had to don a Jamacian accent and talk to a woman who wanted to die. Those were very touching scenes. There was a scene involving Brad Pitt right in the begining that made me jump, almost like it had a horror movie feel to it. This is a very enchanting and captivating movie that does deserve a chance. You will not feel cheated at all.
