It seems as if it takes George Romero to make movies, doesn't it? We had The Dark Half in 1992, Bruiser in 2000 and Land of the Dead in 2005. But with all due respect, those movies only got anywhere because of the loyal following that George Romero has. And to be honest, I am one of them. But the Dark Half wasn't that great. Land of the dead wasn't very good. Bruiser was alright, but it isn't going to stand out and grab you. The story is kind of unique, I will give Romero that, but the acting at times was so awful. Just really bad overacting at times. I also though that this was going to be more of a slasher film, but it wasn't. Well not really anyways. It went at such a slow pace all the way through out. There were some murders, but nothing that would even be deemed remotely scary. It also had a couple of funny one liners from our villian as well. But their was a uniqueness about this movie that made me like it somewhat. The ending was very likable. I really like how they ended it, which was also a bit unique. It wasn't what I was expecting. It didn't have a twist like some thrillers do nowadays, but it was still a different kind of ending.
