The Creature from the Black Lagoon is back! This time he's captured by scientists and transported to an aquarium in south Florida. Naturally, he's attracted to the lovely female scientist and manages to escape and kidnap her, heading to Jacksonville
Rating:4/10 Revenge of the Creature started off with a lot of steam. I was really getting into the first twenty minutes when the movie came to a screeching halt. The movie got boring as it was showing the relationship between the female scientist and the creature after he was captured. The acting was alright as no performaces really stood out, but at least they weren't bad either. The last ten minutes of the movie picked up with a lot of action and a really cool death scene that made me say ouch. Not even some modern day horror movies can make me say ouch like that. The setting is really where this movie failed. You really could only do so much with the creature trapped at the sea aquarium. They tried to put too time into the sea aquarium scenes and that slowed the movie down to a crawl and it became very boring. Oh yeah, Clint Eastwood(debut) had a very small but actually comical role in this movie. The way the scene ended was comical and was unpredictable, but didn't do nothing to add to the story. A very boring sequel to a very adequate classic horror movie.
