Over 20 years after his death by a gunshot, Jimmy Bones comes back as a ghost to wreak revenge on those who killed him and to clean up his neighborhood.
Rating:7/10 I was pretty impressed with Bones. I wasn't expecting much. I wasn't expecting much out of Snoop. But I was surprised once again. The story went pretty far, but it turned into a mess by the ending. What really makes this movie, is that Snoop is out for revenge against the people who did him wrong. The problem is whether or not you are supposed to be cheering for Snoop or hoping he gets his. It had some decent tension and had an air of creepiness to it, even though it wasn't scary. Sometimes the CGI would be a bit of distraction. The severed talking heads for comic relief didn't really work that well. This movie was considered more of a serious horror movie, but that scene kind of took away from it. The acting was pretty good, but Snoop nailed his character dead on. You could almost sympathize with him and cheer for him as he is getting even, but the story takes a turn at the end that makes no sense to the story line at all. The tone of the movie started off great as you see a couple of people hding from the police and then boom, they are dead. Bones is quite a decent movie that has a Tales From the Crypt vibe to it. If you enjoy that, or you enjoy Snoop Dogg, this is a movie for you.
