The Satanic Rites of Dracula
1974 Starring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Micheal Coles, William Franklin, Joanna Lumley Rated R 87 Minutes
In London in the 1970s, Scotland Yard police investigators think they have uncovered a case of vampirism. They call in an expert vampire researcher named Van Helsing (a descendant of the great vampire-hunter himself, no less) to help them put a stop to these hideous crimes. It becomes apparent that the culprit is Count Dracula himself, disguised as a reclusive property developer, but secretly plotting to unleash a fatal virus upon the world.
Rating:3/10 This was another movie I didn't expect a whole lot from. I was still disappointed. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were not involved as much as I would've hoped for, which doesn't help. This movie was just way too boring. It didn't seem as if enough was happening. The one scene I did like was when the woman was trapped in the basment with all the female vampires chained to the wall and it looked as if they were going to to take a bite out of her neck, when the detectives came and saved the day. That was intense. Otherwise, I found myself falling asleep watching this.
