I thought that with Jack Nicholoson as the lead in this movie, that it would've been better than what it was.  Not that Jack was bad, but I just couldn't get into this movie.  I thought it was kind of boring. And with all the hype of Kathy Bates getting naked and the fact that you could see Nicholson's hind end, this really wasn't as great as I was told it would be.  The nude scenes are only two seconds, if you get off on that sort of thing. It's just no big deal.  Anyway, if it wasn't for Jack Nicholson's acting and voiceovers, this really would have been a waste of time.  The rest of the cast was alright, especially Dermot Mulroney.  Nice mullet.  I got a kick out fo that.  What I did find kind of funny is that the voice overs that Jack was doing was basically letters he was writing to an underprivleged kid in Africa.  But the surprise was when the kid wrote back and the message he had.  Not a bad movie, but basically if you are a fan of Nicholson's.  It just goes to show you that a geat quality actor can carry a movie.
