While Pitch Black was a pleasant surprise, The Chronicles of Riddick is a surprise as well.  But not the one we all had hoped for.  The Chronicles of Riddick really ruined the character that was so brilliant in Pitch Black.  The begining of the movie was chaotic and disorganized and left me with confusion which helped me lose interest in this movie very quickly.  I sat through and watched it, but I just really could not get into this.  The sets, even though they looked good reminded me througout of the movie Dune.  What I liked about Vin Diesel's character Riddick in the first one were not brought out in this movie.  Vin Diesel was spouting off one liners as if he was just tryng to be a Schwarzennegger clone.  He just wasn't the same character.  Keith David was alright in his small role and the character of Kyra(Jack) was brought back turned out to be a contradiction through out this movie.  This mopie just isn't fun to watch.  I will say that I liked the final fight sequence and I really lied the final line of the movie which really wraps the movie up nicely, but the movie just did not have any brilliant moments like that at all.  For all the fans of Riddick from the first movie, you are just wasting your time watching this.
