The Dawn Rider
1935 Starring John Wayne, Marion Burns, Dennis Moore, Yakima Canutt Not Rated 53 Minutes
John Mason is hit with a bullet. Alice who nurses him turns out to be the sister of the man Mason is looking for, the man who gunned down his father.
Rating:7/10 This was a little bit better from John Wayne in this 1930's than I am used to watching from these movies in the '30's era. John Wayne's fighting choreography was much better than anything esle he was in at the time. But that is not saying much, because the fighting still looked bad. It is also a cookie cutter from that time as well. Even down to the love triangle that happens in these Lone Star movies. But what made this decent was the dialogue and the fight that broke out in the begining. Not the fight scene itself, but what led up to it and the aftermath. For some reason I thought that was going to be Wayne's nemesis throughout the movie, but I was wrong. They turned out to be best friends until the love triangle happened. This was awfully predictable, but still enjoyable.
