Four directors collaborated to remake four episodes of the popular television series 'The Twilight Zone' for this movie. The episodes are updated slightly and in color (the television show was in black-and-white), but very true to the originals, where eerie and disturbing situations gradually spin out of control.
Rating:8/10 This was a decent remake of the Twilight Zone tv shows that we made into a cinema anthology. The opening with Albert Brookd and Dan Akroyd really grab your attention to begin with. The first story was actually kind of terrifying as a racist goes back in time and relives all the worst times fo certain ethnic groups. The second story, which was directed by Steven Spielberg, was kind of a fun to watch and was entertaining, but I'm sure there were better stories from the Twilight Zone series that would've fared much better. The same thing for the third segment, which was directed by Joe Dante. This turned out to be quite a mess and I didn't enjoy it at all. The last segment had John Lithgow reprise a role that William Shatner did in the TV series. Lithgow plays this with such intensity, that it is freaky. It is still parodied today in movies and TV shows. All being doen though, this is a very entertaining and a respectable remake of the TV show, The Twilight Zone.
