I was very suprised by this movie. For being a sequel to Dracula, I found this very original. At first, I wasn't digging it. It started off more like a comedy and I felt the disappointment that I felt while I was watching the Invisible Man movies. I mean, come one, this movie is starting right after the first one and we are going to be jumping into a comedy. But then it started delving more into the movie that it should have been. Edward Van Sloan returned as Van Helsing who was brought up on murder charges, for what he did to Count Dracula. Gloria Holden was excellent as the daughter of Dracula. She did a great job of trying to hold off her bloodlust so that she could be a real woman again. The rest of the cast was pretty good as well and made it a pleasure to watch. In reality, you don't even have to watch the original Dracula if you don't feel like it, because this is easily a stand alone film. Dare I say that this was better than Dracula. I do say it.
