After a drug-op gone bad, Joey Gazelle is put in charge of disposing the gun that shot a dirty cop. But things goes wrong for Joey after the neighbor kid stole the gun and used it to shoot his abusive father. Now Joey has to find the kid and the gun before the police and the mob find them first.
Rating:8/10 A pretty good movie, even with Paul Walker in it. I guess he can act in different roles. Running Scared is a very original, very gritty movie. The camera work is awesome. Using different angles and filters, he really brings the tension to a pretty good high with that. You have to have a strong stomach for some of the material though, especially the pedophilia subplot and children shooting each other. It pulls no punches, has a great twist I didn't see coming at all. A lot of foul language is used as well. Not a family movie, that is for sure. I was on the edge of my seat for a good chunk of the time, even though at times this movie woulkd slow down a bit. The characters were pretty complex and they were expertly woven into the story. The special effects were amazing as well. When people were getting shot and people getting chunks of their head blown off, it was creepy looking that is for sure. The dialogue was the best, especially co9mpared to other movies like it, but the script was still thought out well. Watch the credits. You will see that this was more of a fairy tale. The credits will give things away. This is a very enjoyable movie and I recomend it.
