Cousins Bo and Luke Duke, with a little help from their cousin Daisy and Uncle Jesse, egg on the authorities of Hazzard County, Boss Hogg and Sheriff Coltrane.
Rating:6/10 When watching the Dukes of Hazzard, you have to ask yourself, why did you watch this show when you were younger? I remember watching it for the car chases, Daisy Duke, Roscoe and Boss Hogg. I really didn't watch the show for the story and I really didn't take the show seriously. It was a fun show to watch because of the four things I mentioned before. Well, the way Hollywood is, especially with them running out of ideas, you knew that this was in the making. What kind of suprised me, was that the guys from the comedy group Broken Lizard took this movie. This group is easily remember for the outright hilarious movie, Super Troopers. Well with the Dukes of Hazzard, the humor wasn't as good as Super Troopers, even though there was some pretty funny scenes, especially with scene stealer Kevin Heffernan(Farva from Super Troopers). This guy is so funny and he doesn't seem to hold himself back. Now let's get back to the four things I mentioned above. Number one, the car chases. The scenes and the real star of the Dukes, The General Lee, was amazing to watch. I haven't seen cool car chase scenes since Ronin. These car scenes were so fun to watch and the end result was so cool. It was like being a kid again. Secondly, Jessica Simpson was no Catherine Bach, but she is very gorgeous in her own right. And she did a decent job acting. Well, I mean it wasn't like the Daisy Duke character had a lot of depth. Now the last two things I will mention at the same time, because of the way they were always together on the show. MC Gainey and Burt Reynolds kind of ruined the roles of Boss Hogg and Roscoe P. Coltrane. They didn't have the humor and chemistry that the original had. As far as chemistry goes, Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott had great chemistry together. They looked like they were having lots of fun with their roles. I could've done without Willie Nelson. He was actually a lousy Uncle Jessie. But this was a very fun movie to watch and I was pretty much entertained. Especially since I had a free pass to see this movie at the theater.
