What realy stands out for me when watching King Kong, was the special effects. Sure they were not as good looking as CGI could be, but they told the story of King Kong better than CGI could. It did not distract or take away from the story at all. With the special effects that were involved in the storytelling, it made it that much more entertaining. The acting was decent for its time. Some of the acting was over the top, but that is how they did it back then. Some fo the lines were kind of corny, but so what. This is still a classic movie. The scenes with Kong fighting other prehistoric monsters were pretty cool looking and it was interesting to see how they filmed and how they looked. It kept my interest. The scene where Kong escapes and is looking for Ann Darrow also really grabbed my attention. When he reaches into that womans apartment and Kong realizes he has the wrong woman and drops her to her death, tha tkind of shocked me. It has kind of a haunting antisocial fell to it. But this is a fun movie to watch and it is not overdrawn like Peter Jacksons version. It was well done and long enough and had a good pace to it. I'm sure if you watch it again, it will bring back some good memories for youas it did for me.
