A family determined to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant take a cross-country trip in their VW bus.
Rating:10/10 One of the biggest suprises that I have ever seen. For me, this ranks right up there as far as suprises go with The Big Lebowski. The one thing that really got my attention was really how charming this movie is. The great thi9ng about this movie is that it does not belong to any of the adults in this movie. All the adults in this movie have had great success in movies. As great as this cast is, this movie belongs to Abigail Breslin. This young girl really steals the show and you really can't help but smile when she smiles. You can't help feel the pain that she is in, when she is in pain. You can't help but cheer for her when she is participating in the beauty pageant. One thing I will say about the beauty pageant. If that is really how it is, I found it to be very disturbing. I can't believe that there would be things like this out in the world. But abigail Breslin and the rest of the cast have fun while destroying the Little Miss Sunshine pageant. Her dance routine was hilarious. This film had some very funny moments and it also had some very touching moments. It was great to see Steve Carell take a backseat to almost everyone in the comedy area. I am a fan of Steve Carell, but he did a great job playing a suicidal gay professor. And he played it straight. Sorry, but I'm not trying to make a play on words so if I offend anyone, I apologize. But he was excellent in this role. Everyone was excellent in their roles. This movie is a fresh breathe of air. This is a movie that should not be taken too seriously, but it is very fun to watch. Check it out and have fun.
