Prince of Darkness at times was slow and downright boring.  But when the movie starts to pick up, it picks up hard and fast.  There are several good scares and some good suspense, it was that it just took too long to set this movie up.  The make up jobs were prety convincing and kind of horrifying.  Donald Pleasance's acting really gives this film a bit of crediblity, while Victor Wong and Denis Dun are fun to watch.  The rest of the cast though is quite boring, and while they do an adequate job, it could've been better.  The story is a rather unique one, as is with all John Carpenter movies.  The music really helps with the eerie setting.  The ending was also extremely creepy, but the problem with this movie is some of the cast, the mixture of science and religion and in parts where it gets downright boring.
